@講堂にて、シュー先生がグリー部員にやめることを伝える

アーティ：You're leaving us ? When ?

やめるの？いつ？

シュー：Well, I've given my two weeks' notice, but I promise I'm gonna find you guys a great replacement before I go.

まだ二週間ある。約束するよ。必ずいい後任を見つけるって。

メルセデス：Is this cause those Carmel kids were so good ? Becaus we can work harder.

カーメル高校がすごすぎたからやめるの？あたしたち頑張るよ。

レイチェル：This isn't fair, Mu.Schuester.We can't do this without you.

ひどすぎます先生。先生なしじゃ無理です。

フィン：So does that mean that I don't have to be in the club anymore or ...? 

てことはもう抜けていいってこと？俺の罰は終わり？

This isn't about you guys.Being an adults is about having to make difficult choices.It's not like hish school.Sometimes you have to give up the things that you love.One day you guys are going to grow up and understand that.I have loved being your teacher.

君たちのせいじゃない。大人になると難しい事情があるんだ。高校生と違って、好きなことをあきらめることもある。君たちも大人になればわかるよ。今まで楽しかった。みんなとやれて。

単純な英語でも通訳によって素敵な日本語に。。。

※Is this cause S V：～だからSVするの？
※because：ここでのbecauseは、「なぜなら（理由）」の使われ方でなく、「それなら(then)」みたいな使い方がされているように見えた。

becauseの用法について調べてみたんだけど、やっぱりbecauseもbecause　ofも原因の使われ方しかないみたいで。

シュー：It's actually an application for H.W.Menken.They're hiring.

HWメンケン社の願書なんだ。応募する。

シュー：Come on. Accounting is sexy. I miss you.

会計士は、イケてる仕事だぜ。寂しくなる。

エマ：Before you leave, can you do me a favor ? I made an appointment for you tomorrow in the career center.You need some guidance.

やめる前にお願いがあるの。あなたの進路相談をするわ。あなたには必要よ。

シュー：I'm having a kid,Emma.What I need is better benefits.

子どもが生まれるんだ。必要なのは収入アップだ。

エマ：Just come, Will, for me.

いいから来て。お願い。

※hiring：hiringは、雇っている、だけでなくて、こちらのように雇用募集している。の意味でも使える。

※can you do me a favor ?：こちらによると、please help me. Whould you help me ?よりも腰の低い感じのお願いになるらしい。

※what I need is XX：必要なのはXX

＠ロッカーでレイチェルがフィンに詰め寄る

レイチェル：Didn't see you at Glee Club today. 

なんで今日サボったの？（今日こなかった）

フィン：Is that still happening ?

でも、もう指導する人もいないし。（だって演出は？）

レイチェル：I've taken over.I'm interim director,but I expect the position will become permanent.

あたしがやってる。臨時で始めたばかりだけど、演出する自信はある（臨時だけどいずれ確定する）。

クイン：Hi, Finn.RuPaul.What are you doing talking to her ?

ハイ、フィン。ださ子。彼女となんの話？

レイチェル：Science project we're partners.

科学の実験でパートナーなの。

クイン：Christ Crusaders tonight at 5:00,my house.

5時に社会奉仕にきて。私の家。

フィン：Sounds great.Look, I - I should go.I can't do Glee anymore.It conflicts with...

了解。もう行かないと。グリーはもうやめる。事情が・・・

レイチェル：Your reputation ? You've really got something, Finn and you're throwing it away.

人目が怖いの？せっかくの才能を捨ててしまう気なの？

フィン：I-I'm going to be late. 

遅れるから。

レイチェル：You can't keep worrying about what people think, Finn.You're better than all of them.

馬鹿にする人なんてほっとけばいい。自分を信じて。

※expect：expectのニュアンスはこちらが詳しい。
I expect the position will become permanent.は直訳すると、「その地位になることは永久的になることを期待してる」だけど。通訳がいい感じ。
※reputation：評判
※I'm going to be late：遅れちゃう。

＠アーティがトイレに閉じ込められる

パック：What do you want me to do, apologize ?　That's not me, dude. Look, if I joined the flag team,you'd beat the crap out of me. I just don't understand why you did it.

お前に謝れってのか？そらできない。なあ、もし俺がチアリーダになったらやめさせただろ？なんでグリーなんかに入った？

フィン：Schuester told me he'd give me enougn extra credit to pass Spanish if I joined the club, okay? I.. I didn't have a choice.Look, it's over, okay, I quit.Anything else ?

シュースターに言われたんだ。グリーに入ればスペイン語の単位をやるって。仕方なかった。If I failed another class, I'd be off the team.あと一単位落とせばアウトだからな。でも、もう済んだ。グリーはやめた。いいだろ？

パック：No, that's it.And as a welcome back to the world of the normal...I got you a present.

あぁ、ノーマルな世界に復帰おめでとう。プレゼントがある。

フィン：Whats's that noise ?Is someone in there ?

誰の声だ？中に人が？

パック：We got wheelchair kid inside.We're going to flip it.

車椅子の奴だよ。ひっくり返すぞ。

フィン：Isn't that kind of dangerous ?

そんなの危ないだろう？

パック：He's already in a wheelchair.Come on, dude, we saved you the first roll.

もともと足は悪い。まずお前がひっくり返せよ。

（アーティを助けるフィン）

アーティ：Oh, my God, the smell. What the hell, dude ?

あぁ臭かった。

パック：I can't believe you're helping out this loser.

どういうつもりだ？こんなダセェやつ助けるなんて。

フィン：Don't you get it, man? We're all losers--everyone in this school.Hell, everyone in this town.Out of all the kids who graduate, maybe half will go to college a-and two ... will leave the state to do it.I'm not afraid of being called a loser' cause I can accept that that's what I am.But I am afraid of turning my back on something that actually made me happy for the first time in my sorry life.

何がダサイ？（わからないか？）俺たちだってダサイよ。ここの生徒全員。いや、この町全員だよ。ここを卒業しても大学に行けるのは半分くらいだし、州の外に出るのだってたったの二人くらいだ。ダサイって言われてももういいよ。それが現実だから。でも俺のダサイ人生で初めて好きだって思えたことを捨てるのだけは耐えられない。

パック：So what?Are you quitting to join Homo Explosion?

だから何だ？アメフトやめてゲイクラブ入るのか？

フィン：No.I'm doing both.Cause you can't win without me and neither can they.

いいや、両方やる。どっちのクラブも俺なしじゃ勝てない。

※cause：こちらを参考。ここでは’がついてないけど、以下の意味で使われてそう。

口語、話し言葉で「because」が省略されて「’cause」となることがあります。「’cause」は「because」の意味として使われるのであって、このページでしてきた「cause」の意味ではありません。

またネットやチャット系の画面では「cuz」と書かれることもあります。こちらはタイプすることが目的であって、声に出すことを前提としていない表現です。これも「because」の省略であり、becauseの意味で用いられています。
